The QTR-8RC Reflectance Sensor Array is a high-performance 8-channel infrared reflectance sensor module designed for precise line detection, position tracking, and robotic navigation applications. Built with eight infrared LED and phototransistor pairs, the sensor array measures surface reflectance and provides highly accurate line-following capabilities for autonomous robots and intelligent control systems.

The QTR-8RC sensor detects differences between light and dark surfaces by measuring reflected infrared light. White surfaces reflect more infrared light while black surfaces absorb it, enabling the module to accurately determine line position and movement. With eight closely spaced sensors, the module offers excellent resolution and tracking accuracy, making it ideal for advanced line follower robots and robotics competitions.

The module uses RC (resistor-capacitor) outputs, allowing direct interfacing with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and other embedded platforms.
