The MPU6050 Sensor Module is a compact, high-performance 6-axis motion tracking sensor that combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer into a single integrated circuit. Designed for precise motion sensing and orientation measurement, the module can accurately detect acceleration, angular velocity, tilt, vibration, rotation, and movement along the X, Y, and Z axes. Working Principle
The MPU6050 uses two independent Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) sensors to detect motion.
The 3-axis accelerometer measures linear acceleration along the X, Y, and Z axes. It detects movement, tilt, vibration, and the direction of gravitational force, allowing the system to determine orientation and inclination.
The 3-axis gyroscope measures angular velocity around the X, Y, and Z axes, enabling accurate detection of rotational movement and changes in orientation.
The onboard Digital Motion Processor (DMP) combines data from both sensors using sensor fusion algorithms to produce stable and accurate motion information. The processed data is transmitted digitally through the I²C interface, allowing the connected microcontroller to perform real-time motion tracking, orientation estimation, and stabilization.
