The HT12E and HT12D are a matched pair of encoder and decoder integrated circuits used in wireless remote control and data transmission applications. The HT12E encoder converts parallel data and address inputs into a serial data stream for RF transmission, while the HT12D decoder receives and decodes the serial data back into parallel form. They are widely used with RF transmitter and receiver modules in remote switches, alarms, and automation systems.
