Flex Sensor 4.5" for Hand Gesture Recognition

The Flex Sensor 4.5" is a resistive bend sensor designed to measure the amount of bending or flexing applied to its surface. It is widely used for hand gesture recognition, motion sensing, robotics, wearable electronics, virtual reality (VR), gaming controllers, medical rehabilitation devices, and human–machine interaction systems. The sensor changes its electrical resistance when bent, allowing microcontrollers and embedded systems to detect finger movements, hand gestures, and object positions with high accuracy. The Flex Sensor operates on the principle of variable resistance. When the sensor remains straight, it has a nominal resistance of approximately 10 kΞ©. This change in resistance can be measured using a simple voltage divider circuit, producing an analog voltage that is read by a microcontroller.
