DHT22 (AM2302) Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor

The DHT22 (AM2302) Digital Temperature and Humidity Sensor is a high-precision digital sensor designed to accurately measure ambient temperature and relative humidity. The sensor communicates through a single-wire digital interface, allowing easy integration with a wide range of microcontrollers and embedded platforms. The onboard microcontroller performs signal processing and calibration internally, eliminating the need for additional analog circuitry or external signal conditioning. Operating from a 3.3V to 6V DC power supply, the DHT22 (AM2302) measures temperatures from −40°C to +80°C with a typical accuracy of ±0.5°C, and relative humidity from 0% to 100% RH with a typical accuracy of ±2% to ±5% RH. The sensor provides updated measurements approximately once every 2 seconds, making it ideal for continuous environmental monitoring applications.
