The DFRobot Gravity Analog TDS Water Quality Sensor / Meter is a precise and user-friendly electronic device designed to measure Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water. TDS indicates the concentration of dissolved substances such as salts, minerals, and metals, expressed in parts per million (ppm), making it a key parameter for water quality assessment in environmental, agricultural, and laboratory applications.

This sensor features a waterproof probe and a Gravity analog interface, enabling easy connection to Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi (via ADC), and PLC systems. It operates by measuring the electrical conductivity (EC) of water: higher levels of dissolved solids increase conductivity, which is then converted into an analog voltage signal. The connected microcontroller processes this signal to calculate the TDS value, applying calibration and optional temperature compensation for improved accuracy.

Operating at 3.3–5 V DC, the sensor typically measures TDS levels from 0–1000 ppm, and this range can be extended with proper calibration. Its fast response and reliable output make it suitable for continuous monitoring, comparative analysis, and educational experiments.
