AD8232 ECG MODULE 

The AD8232 ECG Module is a compact, low-power electrocardiogram signal conditioning module designed to measure the electrical activity of the heart. WORKING PRINCIPLE

The human heart generates small electrical signals during each heartbeat. Electrodes attached to the body detect these signals, which are then amplified, filtered, and conditioned by the AD8232 IC. The resulting analog output represents the heart’s electrical activity, allowing calculation of heart rate and analysis of ECG patterns. The module also includes lead-off detection to ensure proper electrode connection.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The module uses the AD8232 ECG Signal Conditioning IC and measures the heart’s electrical activity. It operates at 3.3 V DC and outputs an analog ECG signal. Gain is configurable on the module, and integrated high-pass and low-pass filters condition the signal. Lead-off detection is included, and interface pins provide 3.3 V, GND, OUTPUT, LO+, and LO− connections. It works with disposable ECG electrode pads and is compatible with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi (with ADC), and data loggers.
