5-Channel Flame Sensor Module
The 5-Channel Flame Sensor Module is a high-sensitivity infrared detection module designed to detect the presence and direction of flames by sensing the infrared (IR) light emitted during combustion. Equipped with five independent infrared flame sensors, the module provides a wider detection angle and improved directional accuracy compared to single-sensor flame detection modules. It is ideal for fire detection systems, firefighting robots, industrial safety equipment, and educational electronics projects.
The module detects infrared radiation typically emitted by flames within the wavelength range of 760nm to 1100nm. Each of the five IR sensors continuously monitors a specific detection area and converts the received infrared light into electrical signals. These signals are processed by the onboard comparator circuit, which provides digital output for flame detection. Many versions also offer analog output, allowing the flame intensity to be monitored by compatible microcontrollers.
Operating from a 3.3V to 5V DC power supply, the module is easy to interface with a wide range of development boards and embedded systems. Each sensing channel includes an adjustable sensitivity feature using onboard potentiometers (model dependent), enabling users to optimize detection performance for different environments. The module also includes LED indicators that display power status and flame detection for convenient monitoring during operation.
The 5-Channel Flame Sensor Module is fully compatible with Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi (using GPIO or ADC where required), STM32, PIC, AVR, 8051, NodeMCU, and other microcontroller platforms.
