400 Tie-Points Solderless Breadboard – Electronic Prototyping Platform
The 400 Tie-Points Solderless Breadboard is a compact and essential prototyping tool designed for building, testing, and modifying electronic circuits without the need for soldering. It provides a reusable and safe platform for experimenting with electronic components, making it highly suitable for students, hobbyists, educators, and professional engineers working on circuit development and embedded systems.
With 400 internal connection points (tie-points), the breadboard offers sufficient space for small to medium-sized electronic projects while maintaining a compact form factor that is easy to handle and transport. It allows quick circuit assembly and modification, enabling faster experimentation and debugging during development.
The internal structure consists of high-quality metal spring clips that securely hold component leads and jumper wires, ensuring stable and reliable electrical connections. The breadboard is designed to accommodate a wide range of electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, LEDs, sensors, modules, and jumper wires without damaging them.
Its standard layout includes clearly organized rows and columns, making it easy to understand circuit placement and ideal for beginners learning electronics fundamentals. The dual power rail system on both sides of the board simplifies power distribution, allowing convenient connection of positive and negative voltage lines across the circuit.
The breadboard also features a self-adhesive backing, enabling it to be mounted securely on project enclosures, acrylic sheets, or development boards for improved stability during use.
Working Principle
The solderless breadboard operates using an internal grid of electrically connected metal clips arranged beneath the surface holes.
Each vertical group of holes in the central section is electrically connected internally, allowing components inserted into the same row segment to share connections. The central groove separates the two halves of the board, making it ideal for placing integrated circuits (ICs), with each pin row connected independently on either side.
The side power rails run horizontally and are used for distributing supply voltage (VCC and GND) across the circuit. These rails simplify power management by allowing multiple components to share a common power source.
This structure enables users to quickly build circuits by simply inserting component leads into the appropriate holes, eliminating the need for soldering while maintaining secure electrical contact.
