16-Bit WS2812 5050 RGB LED Ring
The 16-Bit WS2812 5050 RGB LED Ring is a circular LED module that contains 16 individually addressable WS2812B 5050 RGB LEDs arranged in a ring. Each LED integrates a full-color RGB LED and a built-in intelligent driver IC, allowing every LED to be controlled independently using a single digital data line. This compact LED ring is widely used in Arduino projects, robotics, IoT devices, wearable electronics, decorative lighting, interactive displays, smart lighting systems, educational projects, and DIY electronics.
The module is built on a circular printed circuit board (PCB) and consists of 16 WS2812B 5050 RGB LEDs, power and ground connections, data input (DIN) and data output (DOUT) pins, bypass capacitors, copper traces, and mounting holes for easy installation. Each LED contains integrated Red, Green, and Blue LEDs along with an intelligent control IC that enables individual pixel control.
The working principle of the 16-Bit WS2812 RGB LED Ring is based on single-wire serial communication. A microcontroller sends digital data through the Data Input (DIN) pin. Each WS2812B LED receives its own 24-bit color data (8 bits each for Red, Green, and Blue), displays the assigned color, and passes the remaining data to the next LED in the chain through the Data Output (DOUT) pin. This allows each LED to display a different color and brightness, enabling complex lighting effects, animations, and patterns.

Safety Precautions
-
Use a regulated 5V DC power supply.
-
Observe correct polarity when connecting VCC and GND.
-
Connect the controller to the DIN pin only.
-
Avoid applying voltages higher than the specified operating voltage.
-
Use a suitable current-limiting resistor on the data line and a decoupling capacitor across the power supply for reliable operation in larger installations.
-
Prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) when handling the module.
-
Disconnect power before making or changing connections.
-
Avoid short circuits and moisture exposure.
