DHT22 / AM2302 TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY SENSOR 

The DHT22 (AM2302) is a high-accuracy digital sensor designed to measure both ambient temperature and relative humidity. Combining a capacitive humidity sensing element, an NTC temperature sensor, and onboard signal processing, it delivers stable and precise digital readings in a compact, easy-to-use package.

The sensor provides a single-wire digital output, making it simple to interface with microcontrollers and embedded systems such as Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, and PLC platforms. The internal microcontroller handles calibration and data processing, allowing the host system to receive ready-to-use temperature and humidity values without additional computation.

Operating at 3.3–6 V DC, the DHT22 can measure temperatures from −40°C to +80°C with ±0.5°C accuracy and relative humidity from 0–100% RH with ±2–5% accuracy. Its sampling rate is approximately once every 2 seconds, providing reliable data for environmental monitoring and control applications.
