Arduino-Based Self-Balancing Robot

is an advanced robotics and control system project that demonstrates the concept of dynamic balancing using real-time sensor feedback and intelligent motor control. The robot uses an inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor such as the MPU6050, which combines an accelerometer and gyroscope to continuously measure tilt angle and angular motion. An Arduino microcontroller processes this sensor data and applies a PID (Proportional–Integral–Derivative) control algorithm to precisely adjust the speed and direction of the motors, allowing the robot to maintain an upright position on a two-wheel platform. The system performs real-time tilt correction, operates on a rechargeable battery, and showcases core principles of robotics, embedded systems, and control engineering. This project is widely used in robotics labs, mechatronics courses, research learning, and academic demonstrations to help students understand balance control, sensor integration, and autonomous system behavior.
